For this project we utilised a combination of products to bring the total cost in on budget for our client.
First we used a SolarEdge optimised system for the Solar PV.
The SolarEdge 3.68kW HD Wave inverter is supplied by 10 x JA Solar 395W all black panels.
Each panel has its own SolarEdge optimiser, which allows each panel to produce as much energy as possible, without the output of the other panels impacting this production.
Shading from the surrounding trees is also not an issue when utilising SolarEdge optimisers, because each panel acts independently of the other connected panels.
We used Renusol slate hooks and Genius flashings for the panel mounting. This provides a great water tight fixing method, keeping the existing man made roof slates in place.
Our client wanted to be able to store any excess energy produced for later consumption.
They also wanted to be able to charge the battery from the grid using their off peak tariff.
For this, we selected an AC coupled GivEnergy 5.2kWh storage battery.
This gave our client the required amount of storage with a cost effective price.
With our client having an incoming EV, we needed a reliable EV charge point that would have compatibility with the solar and battery, and show all of the required information within the monitoring portal.
For this purpose we selected a MyEnergi Zappi, in a black tethered option.
This provides our client with an easy to use charge point, which can charge their EV in Eco plus mode, using only excess from the panels should they wish.
This was a great technical job to work on, and we are really happy with the outcome of the products coming together to meet our clients expectations.
