Things have moved on a lot recently with new consumer units offering far superior protection against electric shock with the use of 30mA RCDs or 30mA RCBOs, and also against fire due to new consumer units being constructed from steel.

Fire protection is also a large factor with new consumer units being constructed from steel. to comply with the latest regulations.

At CS Electrical we offer the newest in metal clad dual RCD or RCBO boards to upgrade your fuse board to a safer more user friendly consumer unit.

Newer consumer units also offer a more user friendly experience when an issue does appear, as reseting a circuit breaker is like flicking a light switch. No more rewiring fuses in the dark!

Installations will require an Electrical Inspection Condition Report (EICR) before a replacement can commence, to ensure the installation is safe for continued service, and to ensure no faults exist that the new RCD devices will pick up and trip off for.
