GivEnergy Inverter & Battery Upgrade Truro Cornwall
This client came to us with a faulty Aurora Power One string inverter.
Upon visiting the property, we found the terminal E031 fault code, a replacement Solar inverter was required to get the system operational again.
We discussed the benefits of adding battery storage, allowing the system to capture unused energy instead of sending it out to the grid.
As this client was on a good feed in tariff, the addition of the 9.5kWh battery will allow the FIT tariff to remain, so the client can continue to receive the Generation and Deemed Export tariffs, as well as store the excess energy for later use, further offsetting there energy bills.
A GivEnergy 3.6kW Hybrid Inverter and 9.5kWh battery package was selected, with its great monitoring app to complete the package.
We replaced the FIT generation meter with a new BiDirectional meter as required to maintain the FIT.
With the GivEnergy Hybrid Inverter, if the grid goes down, the system will remain operational, charging and discharging the battery, supplying backup power to the RCD protected double socket under the inverter.
Monitoring of the whole system is provided by the GivEnergy app, providing data for every aspect of the installation.
This was a great project to work on, and our client is very happy with the system we have installed for them which is future proof, and will allow indefinite operation even without the grid in operation!
